When we arrived, no one was available at the parking ticket booths and they don't automatically dispense tickets (a person is required to man the booth). Many people were confused as to whether they could park, where to pickup parking passes (were we supposed to get them at the ticket booth?), etc.. After a half an hour of waiting for someone to show up at a parking booth we were told that a lady was walking around the parking lot selling parking passes. We bought a pass from her, but a number of people were wondering if she was just someone who had printed off the passes on her home computer/laser printer. The warning 'you will be towed if you don't have a parking pass' was something that I think we all believed was true.
Checkin for sound check was supposed to start at 4:15 and be over at 4:45. We stood out in the cold until 5:PM and then the line started moving. Far too many people were herded into a small roped off corner of the lobby where mass confusion ensued. A lady barked orders from outside the rope, but had no microphone or megaphone so the most common thing I heard was people in the crowd saying 'we can't hear you'. They did not allow picking up VIP tickets or bracelets before the event. We could hear the sound check happening from where we were, but still had to pick up bracelets at one of the 3 windows before we could go in. Lines to get the bracelets came to a dead stop several times as evidently some people's orders weren't filled correctly and the window people tried to help those people before continuing.
When we got into the sound check, Phoebe Bridgers still hadn't come onto stage, so we hadn't missed anything too important, but sound check was short. Phoebe Bridgers answered about 10 questions from the crowd. For the Q&A we were instructed to take a seat. Phoebe Bridgers did sing a few short versions of her songs (that was cool). The guy holding the mic to take questions only visited one side of the group, so those on the right hand side of the stage didn't have a shot in the world at asking a question no matter how high they raised their hands. We then went and stood in the lobby until 7 for no obvious reason. (The auditorium was cleared after sound check and they could have let people back in, but they didn't.)
During the concert everybody stood (as is expected) for the entire concert, but Phoebe Bridgers had no video screens to the side or above the stage (as is expected). This meant tweens (we had two of them with us) had a difficult time seeing anything unless Phoebe Bridgers was up on the highest levels of her staging setup. She wasn't up there a lot.
Overall, Rosemont seemed to have botched everything from the parking to ticket pickup. If Phoebe Bridgers had put up some stage screens the show would have been much more enjoyable. The show itself was only OK. Phoebe Bridgers seemed tired. Her dancers did well, but her backup band and backup singers didn't shine at all. Just seemed to be going through the motions.
